Watershed Assessments

Watershed assessment has become a major component of CRI’s work over the past ten years. This experience includes watershed assessments and recommendations of potential solutions. Watershed planning approach involves accurately characterizing current pollution and habitat problems in a watershed. An accurate watershed assessment requires the establishment of a baseline, or current condition, which will be used to judge the success of future watershed management efforts. Watershed assessment and monitoring often involves complex data collection and analysis techniques. The watershed management planning process provides opportunities to address water quality and habitat issues beyond the scope of single jurisdictions.
