Daniel is an Environmental Scientist who performs water resource assessments and assists with natural resource studies. He has ample experience conducting geomorphic stream assessments and analysis. Daniel also has experience conducting aquatic resource assessments related to fish and benthic communities to gage stream health. Highlights of Daniel’s experience include:

Field Studies

Conducts a wide variety of environmental investigations including:

  • stream restoration site searches and assessments
  • physical stream assessments
  • assessment of physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of streams and watersheds and their response to management
Water Quality and Biological Monitoring
  • utilizes Maryland Biological Stream Survey (MBSS) and EPA Rapid Bioassessment Protocol (RBP) methodologies to assess aquatic communities and habitats
  • conducts detailed analyses of water quality and biological data, including Index of Biotic Integrity (IBI) and Physical Habitat Index (PHI) calculations to determine the overall health of aquatic systems
  • installation and maintenance of water quality monitoring equipment
  • assists with wetland delineations, forest stand delineations, and rare plant and animal surveys

  • utilizes GIS for assessment and analysis of environmental datasets and map production
