Highlights of Experience

Ann worked in the Electric Power sector for 31 years prior to joining the CRI team.  As a Power Plant Biologist she evaluated the water and land impacts of electric generation and CCB disposal.  As a Senior Environmental Engineer she was responsible for environmental permitting and oversight of construction and mitigation projects.  At CRI she is responsible for project permitting and compliance, field assessments, and environment studies. Highlights of Ann’s experience include:

Permitting
  • prepares Joint Permit Applications and permit packages for permitting by MDE Wetlands Division and USACE
  • prepares permit documentation and position reports for MDE Wetland and Waterway Division Review Services
  • coordinates with federal, state and local agencies
  • compiles and researches environmental data for technical reports and permit approvals
Field Studies
  • performs wetland, waterway, forest conservation, endangered species and Essential Fish Habitat (EFH) assessments for maintenance and construction projects and work with construction managers to ensure compliance with permit obligations
  • evaluates stormwater treatment systems and BMPs for application of TMDL credits
  • uses GPS and GIS technologies to support technical field work and reporting, including preparation of resource mapping
