We are currently seeking a full-time Mid-level Environmental Scientist with a Bachelor’s (minimum) or Master’s degree in applied sciences such as biology, ecology, environmental science, or natural resource management. Preference for candidates with 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in rapid bioassessment protocols, aquatic ecology, fisheries, benthic macroinvertebrates, data analysis, GIS, and technical report preparation. Experience with Maryland Biological Stream Survey (MBSS) sampling methods or certifications a plus. Course work or experience with aquatic entomology, stream morphology/assessment, wetland delineation, and/or native vegetation/botany a plus. Position requires rigorous fieldwork in all weather conditions, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of teamwork in a fast-paced and fun work environment. Minimum Requirements: B.S. in Environmental Science or related field, with pertinent course work in applied sciences such as biology, ecology, environmental science, or natural resource management. M.S. a plus. Basic background in GIS applications through coursework or applied experience is preferred.
