Heather is an Environmental Scientist with 14 years of experience. She leads a variety of field studies and environmental assessments for the public and private sector. She is proficient in GIS and uses it to create maps to support environmental documentation. She has worked as an In-House Consultant for the MD SHA’s Environmental Programs Division and as an MDE Consultant Reviewer. Highlights of Heather’s experience include:

Field Studies

Performs a wide variety of field studies including:

  • conducts wetland delineations, forest stand delineations, and rare plant surveys
  • collects benthic macroinvertebrates, fish, water quality, and aquatic habitat data
  • performs data entry and analysis
  • uses GPS and GIS technologies to support technical field work and reporting, including preparation of resource mapping
Document Preparation
  • compiles and researches environmental data for technical reports, Environmental Impact Statements, Environmental Assessments and Natural Environmental Inventories
  • delivers experience using GIS programs to support environmental assessments, inventories, and impact analyses
  • conducts mitigation site searches, including infrared photo interpretation, soil evaluations
  • conducts monitoring of completed mitigation sites for successful establishment of wetland, vegetation, soils and hydrology
