Highlights of Experience

Sarah is a water resources engineer leads fieldwork and environmental design related work. She works on the preparation of stream and wetland restoration plans, specifications, and cost estimates and is experienced using Microstation, AutoCAD, WinTR-55, Microsoft Office, GIS ArcMap and GIS Hydro. She performs physical stream assessments, assisting with stream restorations, evaluating stormwater management (SWM) systems and BMPs, modeling the hydrologic and hydraulic characteristics of streams, and writing technical reports. Highlights of Sarah’s experience include:

Design Experience
  • Stream Restoration designs for compensatory mitigation and TMDL credit
  • Wetland Enhancement and Creation designs for compensatory mitigation
  • Stormwater Management and Environmental Site design (ESD) Facility and Retrofit design
  • Erosion and Sediment Control design
  • Technical Review of Stream Restoration and Erosion and Sediment Control designs
Field Studies
  • conducts geomorphic surveys, monitoring of stream restoration projects, stream mitigation site searches, and stream corridor assessments
  • evaluates drainage patterns associated with stormwater management facilities, and stormwater management site searches
  • performs data entry and analysis
  • uses GPS and GIS technologies to support technical field work and reporting
Document Preparation
  • leads the production and preparation of Restoration and SWM reports, plans, specifications and cost estimates
  • prepares technical documents including geomorphic assessment reports and monitoring reports
  • performs TMDL Crediting calculations to estimate the Total Suspended Solids, Total Nitrogen and Phosphorus loads based on the current accepted methods
  • assists with the general management of restoration and outfall stabilization projects for Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) reduction efforts
  • prepares GIS maps to assist with stream restoration and outfall stabilization site searches for Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) reduction efforts
