We are currently accepting applications for a full-time, mid-level Landscape Architect. Responsibilities will include planting design for stream restoration, wetland creation/enhancement, stormwater management (SWM), and transportation projects. Additional services include field assessments, including forest conservation compliance, site assessments, mitigation site searches, watershed assessments, monitoring mitigation sites, using GIS and CADD for the development of plans, and reporting. Candidates must have design and plan development experience as well as excellent problem solving and written/oral communication skills, good attention to detail and organizational skills, and eagerness to collaborate closely with the other members of the team to meet project objectives. Salary Range: $96,553 – $114,000/yr. CRI is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of salary range for this role. This range is determined by many factors including but not limited to experience, training, skill sets, interpersonal skills, internal salary equity, licensure and certifications, and other organizational needs. CRI will evaluate the specific skills and qualities of an individual candidate to determine the appropriate salary for that specific hire. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program Licensed Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) (Maryland or immediate candidate for reciprocity in Maryland) 6+ years of experience in landscape architecture and in developing contract documents including plans, specifications and estimates, and project management Familiarity with the Maryland Forest Conservation Act and native/adaptive plant materials in the Northeastern region Familiar with Maryland Stormwater Management and Erosion & Sediment Control regulations Proficiency with GPS and GIS technologies to support technical field work Proficiency with CADD software (Microstation/AutoCAD Civil 3D) Excellent oral and written communication skills required Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading the preparation of reports, plans, specifications and estimates Experience working effectively both independently and in multi-disciplinary teams Experience leading and contributing to landscape design from early concepts through construction Experience preparing permit packages and a working knowledge of Maryland permitting processes Prepare graphics/renderings and public meeting presentations materials (SketchUp, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite Programs) Current with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously raise design quality Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Ability to mentor less experienced staff Hybrid workplace, competitive salary commensurate with experience, comprehensive benefits, technical training opportunities, and excellent time off with pay package.
