Coastal Resources, Inc. (CRI) provided project management and permitting support on an in-house basis to the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration’s Office of Environmental Design Environmental Programs Division (EPD). The EPD is committed to protecting Maryland’s natural environment by avoiding, minimizing and mitigating environmental impacts and obtaining wetland and waterway permits through customer interaction that promotes innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions. This task includes project management and permitting support. CRI staff assists with the following tasks: Permitting and project management – Working closely with design teams to achieve environmentally sensitive projects by avoiding and/or minimizing impacts to sensitive natural resources.Stream restoration and wetland mitigation design reviews including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.Plan and milestone processing including reviewing engineering (highway/bridge) plans and carrying project from planning, design, permitting, etc.GIS mappingCoordination with SHA staff, regulatory agencies, and consultants Managing consultantsWetland delineation and functional assessment services.
